Gift Of Life Recipient pays return visit

Oscar Rivera from Honduras received a heart operation 18 months ago that saved his life.  He visited our club today with his family.
 

Our club was very happy to welcome Oscar Rivera and his family to our weekly club meeting.   He was operated on 18 months ago thanks to a sponsorship from Rotary. 

Oscar is one of almost 900 people to benefit from this important outreach of Rotary and our club.  Oscar stayed with Paul Platek and his family during the time of the operation in 2012.  He shared with us this morning that he is in great health and does not get tired like he used to. 

The Gift of Life is a program that is very dear to our hearts and we are excited to be able to welcome our next recipient, Jorge Mansilla, who will be arriving this weekend from Peru.  Paul and his wife Carmen will also be the gracious hosts of this family throughout their stay.
