Although it was an early start for Billy, he was in high spirits and inspired us all as he joined us for our weekly meeting at 7:30am in the Brick House.

He was very happy to receive his gift and said his 'thanks' to all present.

We are looking forward very much to the Billy's Buddies walk on Saturday October 5th at 10am.  Complete information here.

If you are not able to make the walk, you can still donate to this very worthwhile cause by donating here.

On Thursday the club was very happy to welcome Billy Hourihan and his mum Christine as they visited the club.  Billy's smile was infectious, in spite of the early hour and he spoke a few words to us all of appreciation.  After spending some time with us he was off to catch his bus to school.  As always it was great to welcome both Billy and Christine.

Christine founded the Northern New Jersey Down Syndrome Alliance, which has donated over $600,000 in the last 8 years to help raise awareness about Down Syndrome.

The target for this years walk is $100,000 and 1,500 walkers.

The Rotary have been supporting the Alliance since it was formed and were happy to present a check to Billy and his mom for the foundation.  We encourage all of our friends to support this worthy cause and get some exercise doing the one mile walk which is suitable for people of all ages.

If you would like to donate to the Alliance, you can donate securely using this link.

Tom Madigan, Club President, presents a check from the club to Christine and Billy for the Alliance.
