Our annual Beefsteak Dinner held at the Brownstone on October 22nd was a resounding success and a fun time for all that attended.

Wyckoff-Midland Park Rotary held our annual Beefsteak Dinnner fund raiser at the Brownstone in Paterson.  As in previous years, it was a full house with over 300 people in attendance.  Rotarians gathered with their family, friends and business associates for a fun evening of excellent food, good wine, raffles and raising money for good causes.  There were many prizes to be won and the activity in the Tricky Tray Atrium was brisk.  Prizes ranged from a 50-inch television to a week in a Condo in Paris to baskets of wine.

Immediate Past President, Andy Garlick, opened the evening with a convocation and passed the baton to current President Tom Madigan for the rest of the evening. Tom kept things moving briskly in his inimitable way keeping all present energized.  Lee Parker and Nancy De Ritter, along with Bill Rush, were also instrumental in making the evening a success.

Money raised from the evening helps fund our support of local and international charities and leadership initiatives.  Last year $16,000 in scholarships were awarded to Wyckoff and Midland Park High School students.  We have also supported projects in Haiti and local organizations like The Relief Bus that provide advice and nourishment to local homeless.

Everyone that attended had a great time.  If you know one of our Rotary members make sure you are on the list for next year.  If not, then consider joining us on any Thursday morning in the Brick House in Wyckoff at 7:30am to learn more and consider becoming a member.

Wine selections from 'Andy Garlicks cellar' proved popular.
