2018 Beafsteak Dinner

Our meetings are held every Thursday at 7:30am at the Brick House  (you are welcome to stop by for a visit). 

Current President, Tom Madigan and his wife Mary were welcoming hosts for this years Rotary Club Holiday Party at their home in Wyckoff. 

Club President has the following wish for all our members:  "Wishing you and  your families all the best in the New  Year!!"

Andy Topp provided an update on the water filter initiative to help victims of the Philippines natural disaster.

Today we were very happy to welcome our District Governor and his assistant to our club.  He spoke about the 'Hands only CPR' initiative that he is promoting and other inspiring topics that helped provide direction for us for 2014

Our annual project to deliver Dictionaries to all third grade students in any school in Wyckoff and Midland Park has just been completed.

This week at our meeting, local dentist Andrew Phillips, DMD spoke to us about the link between dental hygiene and the overall health of our bodies.

Juan Galloway gave an inspiring talk that opened all of our minds to aspects of being homeless what was a surprise to all of us.  One of the key messages was that whatever profile we may have had in the past of what a homeless person is, that profile no longer applies.

Although it was an early start for Billy, he was in high spirits and inspired us all as he joined us for our weekly meeting at 7:30am in the Brick House.

He was very happy to receive his gift and said his 'thanks' to all present.

We are looking forward very much to the Billy's Buddies walk on Saturday October 5th at 10am.  Complete information here.

The club was very happy to welcome 8 of the 17 students that we sponsored to attend RYLA 2013 in Pennsylvania.  RYLA is a week long camp where young people learn leadership skills and team building.  As one student reminded us "Teams make leaders and leaders make a team".

Isabela Cipriani will be an exchange student from Brazil attending Ramapo HS for the upcoming school year. She will be hosted by three other families in the local school district area. Isabela comes from a town 100 miles south of San Pablo, and she is very interested in studying graphic design at Ramapo, as well as, prepare for university in Brazil when she returns.

  Rotary International United Nations Day

Wyckoff Midland Park is sponsoring local students to attend this day of learning at the United Nations.

On August 29th,  Lynn Novak gave an enlightening and informative talk on the recent trip of Ramsey High School students to Peru where they learned about teamwork and leadership while also having a service component working on a project with local people.

Rotary President Andy Garlick graduated from the Rotary Leadership Institute on Saturday, April 20.

The inhabitants in and around Mandeville, Jamaica are among the poorest of the poor. May live in card board huts. For a minor investment, the Wyckoff-Midland Park Rotary was able to build a real house for a family selected by the Diocese of Mandeville. Here the family takes possession of their new home.

Every year Billy's Buddies, a support and advocacy group for parents of children with Downs Syndrome, sponsors a "Buddy Walk" in Wyckoff to raise funds and awareness for Downs Syndrome. This year the Buddy Walk will be held on Saturday, October 13, at 10:00 at the Wyckoff Family YMCA. Last year over 1,400 participated in the walk.

The Wyckoff-Midland Park Rotary Club is proud to have been a sponsor of this event from the start, and to contribute as an Official Sponsor of the Walk.
